Description of RSP MP3 Player OCX
ActiveX OCX to play MP3 files , this control is using a high-quality MPEG audio decoder , and it is capable of playing layer I , II and III , has support also to MPEG 2.0 and MPEG 2.5 , it has a spectrum analyzer, equalizer and the decoder engine is optimized for speed when running on new processors.
What is new in the version 3.0.0 (Thu Dec 13 19:46:35 2007):
Fixed a bug in the playback with mp3 files that has damaged id3v1 tags in the end of the file , in this case a quick noise can appear in the end of the playback , to reproduce the problem search for the mp3:

on internet and play it , as you will see in some cases in the end of the playback the noise will occur
, this problem occurs because some id3v1 software write the tag inside the last frame and not in the end , in this case the id3v1 tag can be confused with a valid mp3 frame and will be decomposed in noise , correct id3 v1 tags need to be created above the last frame in this case no decoder
will decode the tag because there is no frame header to initiate the frame sincronizing , to solve the problem the decoder now dont decode the last frame , added support to playback of wav 32 bits floating point , added a new progress bar , added code to open files , added code to make the sample acts as a normal player like loading media files in the startup and playing it and playing
other media files that are sent to the sample project via explorer shell , added code to save and restore settings in the registry , added more wafe effects and stereo enhancements , now it have 14 wave effects to be used and some of them are very interesting , minor bugs fixed
