Description of Syslog Watcher Personal Edition
Personal server for collecting and reviewing SYSLOG messages from one source. This SYSLOG server is a perfect choice for monitoring only one device (e.g. xDSL modem or home LAN switch). It is an easy-to-use, functional and absolutely free network tool. A need to monitor network events exists even in tiny networks with one active device, so Syslog Watcher Personal Edition will be most suitable tool. SYSLOG messages provide a wide range of information.
Syslog Watcher Personal Edition can receive messages via UDP and TCP protocols. Another main feature of this product is a full support of IPv4 and IPv6 stacks of protocols. This SYSLOG server was specially designed for effective work in Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista.
In additions, interesting characteristics are: hex-view, customable filtering and storing, exporting and logging to text files. The most important features are intelligent parser of messages content and integration with Syslog Watcher Vendor Pack. A level of message interpretation supplied by these technologies essentially improves analysis of multitudes of SYSLOG messages.
Modern GUI style and many visual possibilities such as using different colors depending on severity are providing perfect appearance.
