Description of CraigsList Reader
A powerful free tool to search craigslist based on multiple locations and categories. Enter your search term and choose your options to narrow down your search result. Set notifications to alert you, or send you an email when new posts meeting your criteria appear on craigslist. Promote your items for free to all the users who use this product (just drag the item you want to promote and drop it in the "Ad" section). Add items to your favorites list. Fast searches are performed by using concurrent connections. You can add time delay to prevent craigslist from blocking your IP address. Sort items by date, location, category, title or price. Save, and load search results to analyze or store. Set it up so that you can find jobs in NY, apartments in Chicago, and cars in LA. Unlimited options. Search thru entire world, or just some country or state or city. Select multiple locations. Search thru all the categories/sub-categories. Select multiple categories/sub-categories. Easily see how many items are found based on your search. Cancel Search at any time. Activate, in-activate or delete your notifications. Save, and load settings. Hide and show panes to view full pages. Auto update.
Features :
Different search settings. Using related keywords will produce related results, but a broad search phrase, like “one bedroom apartment,” will produce many results. In terms of housing, filter your results based number of bedrooms and if pets are allowed. Additional filter features are available for jobs. You can also filter out Craigslist listings without pictures.
As mentioned above, you can search all of Craigslist, statewide listings, or listings from multiple cities. It is your choice; you are in control. Not only do you have control over the location, but the category too. Now, you can search multiple Craigslist categories at once. Other noteworthy search features include the ability to set a price range and search for ads with images only.
Remove items from your list. Craigslist relies on tags and keywords used by posters. If a seller uses the word “crib,” to describe home decor, a picture frame or a desk may appear in your search for a baby crib. It wasn’t what you wanted, so automatically remove it from your list with the click of a mouse!
Rely to Craigslist ads without leaving the program. Since the Craigslist Reader is a desktop application, you can reply to ads to make a purchase or contact the seller for more information without ever leaving the program. Just click the “Reply,” button found on the right-hand side of the page.
New listing notifications by email or SMS. Good deals and jobs go quick when posted on Craigslist. To ensure you never miss anything, you can get new Craigslist listing notifications by email or SMS. This feature allows you to send out your resume before most other users even have a change to view the ad!
New listing notifications by RSS Feed. Before you perform a search, just check the box for ‘RSS Feed’ in the ‘Alerts’ tab, which is found on the left navigational bar. You can copy and past the feed link into any RSS Reader or your internet browser to get notified of new items. Select how often you receive updates.
