Editplus just does exactly what ypu expect of an Editor.
Its FTP facilites are very very useful for working on remote files directly, the custom syntax and cliptext facilities are very useful when you are continually swapping between languages HTML/JAVA/VBSCRIPT etc - excellent.
This software is on my all time list of greats;

I've been using it for almost half a year now, it replaced the notepad, all the html editor I used, and I even got install a script that will do "view-source" in IE. The author of the program is very active in the webboard as well, if you got question, he got the answer :)
