Description of Architect and Contractor Desktop
Capabilities of version 2.0 provide:1). Freedom to select and create any representation form. Every specialist knows that representation form strongly affects the making decision process. This idea works the same way in regard to interior finishing documents (including costs sheets, finishing materials lists, openings lists etc.). That is the reason why freedom to select and create any representation form is strongly required. Also the program supports report export to various file formats such as DXF, XLS, RTF, HTML, PDF, etc.2). Information completeness. The only way to perform quick and efficient analysis is to use unified system of data.All those capabilities solve one of the primary tasks of a project development, that is project quality control:- investor may control customer;- customer may control general contractor;- general contractor may control subcontractors;- subcontractor has complete information about real finishing material consumption and may control its employees. What's new in version 2.0:- drag-and-drop capabilities;- object-oriented interface;- "Properties inspector" to view/edit properties faster;- new efficient data organization;- "Report Manager" (to work with list of your report forms);- "Project Notes" (to store event notes during project creation);- "Users Manager" (to manage access to the database through local network);- "Volume Formula" for more flexible and precise material estimation;- minor updates: new PDF filter is added for reports export; support for reports export to TIFF raster format; Fast Report component is updated to version 3.X; list of project properties is extended (for example, an ability to store firm information now); list of room properties is extended to store more detailed information about room geometry; list of element properties is extended to store more information about elements (costs of elements are divided into "materials costs" and "work costs"); data filtration capabilities are enhanced (filtration of elements of the reference list added); data sorting capabilites are enhanced; raster data compression is added to decrease network traffic and database file size; animation of illustrations is added; help system is enhanced; startup tips are added. What's new in version 1.2:- support for english measurement system (feet, inches);- support for reports export to raster formats (BMP and JPG);- support for reports export to Microsoft Excel format (XLS);- support for type of measurement unit for additional elements (quantity, linear, square or cubic unit);- minor updates: pictures stretches only if the picture is greater than its picture area; new advanced HTML and RTF filters added for reports export; DXF filter updated (vector shapes export support and other features); Fast Report component updated to version 2.5. The distributive includes:- kernel (executive file, help files, service files);- small demo-project;- embedded FireBird 1.5 database.
