Description of ICQ
ICQ is a revolutionary, user-friendly Internet tool that informs you who's on-line at any time and enables you to contact them at will. No longer will you search in vain for friends or associates on the Net. ICQ does the searching for you, alerting you in real time when they log on. The need to conduct a directory search each time you want to communicate with a specific person is eliminated. With ICQ, you can chat, send messages, files and URL's, play games, or just hang out with your fellow 'Netters' while still surfing the Net.

| People. I have Trillian PRO!!!!!!!! Get Trillian pro or not. Use AIM, ICQ, MSN, IRC, and Yahoo! at the same time. I've been using this for quite some time now. |

| This bloated and buggy version pretty much does it for me - no more ICQ, thanks. MSN ain't as good but it works and it ain't bloated. |

| What gives, icq plus comes out wiht a new version and ICQ writes them out of the program .AOL took ICQ from the best msngr out there to the worst. |

| ok, wtf... i've tried like 6 or 7 different versions now and NONE of them truly support direct connections with (anyone/ppl on list/ppl after authorization) OR when you allow direct connections with ppl using older versions of icq. try sending a message to someone in linux using licq or another icq clone. and what is up with the 60 seconds or more to connect and get online? screw it, i'm going back to 2000b. hah! it worked! |

| I needed to uograde to this version (v5.15 #3636) as the previous ones just failed some important functions under Windows XP. This one actually works for me.
On the other hand - I've been using Trillian (www.trillian.cc) for several months now and prefer to use my ICQ in that than run ICQ itself. |
