Description of Violog Standard Edition
Manage and analyze the events your custom applications are logging to text-based log files. Perform time-based correlation and normalization of multiple streams of event data. View multiple logs as a single stream of events. Employ user-defined event counters to collect additional information about the frequency of your events. View and analyze the results in various ways to improve your understanding of how your systems operate.
Manage your logs through a stream hierarchy that allows you to organize logs at an abstract level in a parent-child relationship. View multiple log files as a single stream of data or segment the streams to look at individual children.
Use basic statistics to calculate data based on your event-counters. See these results in various ways such as viewing the numeric results, or by static or interactive charts. Use the charts/reports in your analysis to identify patterns and trends.
Gain an overview of your log streams, view interactive charts, and drill down into your event-detail.
Navigate quickly through your events in the events view using intuitive time concepts such as moving forward or backwards by minutes, hours, or days. Get to relevant events immediately no matter how or where they are distributed. Customize how you view your events by removing or reordering columns. View them in the context of events from other streams. Filter them using text matching, or Boolean or regular expressions.
